Teaching Philosophy
Stage Managers provide the practical and organizational framework vital to the work of directors, choreographers, artists, designers and technicians. Stage Managers are masters at organizing, problem solving, and effectively communicating with all members of a team. Keeping the above in mind, I absolutely love working with young stage managers! With every class discussion, rehearsal, tech, and performance we learn more about ourselves as managers and collaborators. To be a stage manager is to be in service to the ensemble. As the production coordinator, I get to share my passion for management with our students on a daily basis. I believe that working alongside industry professionals prepares our students, both technicians and actors, to transition seamlessly into the industry.
