Designers – SONNETS FOR AN OLD CENTURY

SONNETS FOR AN OLD CENTURY by José Rivera

    • Mitchell Theatre April 15-25 (Thursday-Saturday 7:30 PM, Sunday 2:00 PM)
    • Director: Mark H.
    • Could you tell your life story in the space of a moment – the length of a sonnet? Trapped between life and afterlife, people attempt to give voice to the meaning of their existence. Called a Spoon River Anthology and Our Town for this generation, José Rivera’s compelling series of monologues convey a kaleidoscope of expressions on what it means to be alive.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

    • DESIGNERS
      • Design Teams for SONNETS FOR AN OLD CENTURY will be drawn from the advanced design courses which will meet concurrently on Wednesdays 3:30-5:25 PM (as well as having individual class times on Mondays) in the Spring Semester. Those courses include:
        • TD 466 Stage Lighting Design II
        • TD 563 Costume Design II
        • TD 572 Set Design II
      • ASSISTANT DIRECTORS
        • Also, as there will be no Fundamentals of Directing course (TD 368) being taught next term, any students who have already taken TD 368 or are interested in satisfying that elective can have the option of working on this project as assistant directors, with a pre-requisite of Script Analysis (TD 367).
